Laney was born in Conceiçao do Araguaia PA Brazil, from a humble family she had a happy but challenging childhood, She skipped 1th grade because the school administration thought that she was advanced in kindergarten, leading to her graduating  from high school when she was 17.  Laney studied Accounting during her last 3 years of High School that was known as a professional technical school. As she finished High School she lived by herself and had a full time job.

A year later after she turned 18 she moved to Aparecida de Goiania looking to grow personally and professionally, she was confident enough to go to an interview to work as an HR manager and even though she did not have a degree she did get the job. Later she started working on a degree in Business Administration at Padrao University, Laney did not finish school there, she met her husband who served a church mission in Brazil, moved to Utah and got married and started a family.

    In 2017 Laney learned about the hard time families were going through in an area close to her hometown, she started raising money to help families, but it was not enough so that is when she decided to start a nonprofit to help kids stay in school, giving them the school supplies needed to take the burden away from the parents that already did not have the money to spend on that need.
